Ms. Hajah Saripah Binti Embong

Ms. Saripah, a teacher who teaches students living skill, the skills of their generation. She comes from a family of Teachers. Inspired by her father on hard working and mother on creativity, Ms. Saripah likes to think different and be creative. She has been serving as an educator for 34 years, starting her career at Sekolah Menengah Agama Khairiah Kuala Terengganu from 1983 till 1991. She was then transferred to Sekolah Agama Marang in 1991 and served until 1997. She was among the 24 pioneer teachers selected to teach in Kolej Sains Pendidikan Islam Negeri Terengganu (KOSPINT) and currently known as Sekolah Menengah Yayasan Terengganu or “Imtiaz” from June 1997 up till now.

She had been assigned to supervise a computer lab and Integrated Living Skills (ILS) workshop. Since then, the workshop had turned out to be fully equipped with gadgets needed for research. Throughout her 34 years of teaching career, she held the position as a Head of the Technical and Vocational Department from 2009 to 2013. In 2010, she was appointed as Master Teacher for the Integrated Living Skills (ILS) after going through a stringent process of evaluation by the Inspectorate and Quality Assurance Division, Ministry of Education, Malaysia. On 4th April 2016, she had been approved a lifetime membership of MyRIS (Malaysian Research & Innovation Society) which facilitated and guided individuals, schools and institutions venturing the field of research and innovations. She was elected as a Resource Innovation Development Specialist in Education Sector on 6th February 2017, responsible in guiding innovation teams of Government Aided Religious Schools in Malaysia.
