Mr. Vincente Marcal da Silva is currently the school principal at Ensino Basico Central Tirilolo, Baucau. He believes that being a teacher is a profession. He sees that many of his students live under the poverty line with malnutrition. Thus, he commits to giving his students love, home and help them to function in the school and community. His reveals that teaching, learning and exercising are his commitment without limit. Therefore, he leads with humanity and spirituality. He is also a community leader. He promotes Timorese identity through cultural heritage. He initiates programmes to help the community such as building a basketball court, a volleyball court and a futsal court with the contributions from parents and teachers. He is patient, humble and honest, and values the richness of Timorese culture.
