Ms. Sengphet Khounpasert

Ms. Khounpasert is the Deputy Head of Academic Affairs Unit and the Head of Physics at Oudomxay Provincial Secondary School, Oudomxay province. She is dedicated to an approach to teaching science that helps students apply scientific knowledge and their skills to advance the capital and economic development of the country.

Since 2007, she has served as a provincial trainer for outstanding Grade 9 and 12 students in national competitions in Physics. She has encouraged knowledge sharing among teachers by developing a number of Physics lesson plans and teaching materials for Grade 12 and sharing them with teachers not only in her school, but also with 14 schools within the same province. She was also a committee member involving in the revision of the Physics textbook for Grade 11. Being a successful female science teacher, she is a role model who promotes girls’ aspirations and participation in science. In addition, she is the Deputy Head of the school’s Women’s Union.
