Mr. Otinguey is a Head Teacher of the Governor Bado Dangwa Agro- Industrial School, Kapangan, Benguet, Philippines. He is a passionate man of service who dedicates his time to helping his school and his community for twenty-four years, conducting different projects, programmes and activities to empower people.
His principle of life is “Life is a Service”. He works tirelessly to help the community through the livelihood programmes such as Books for the Barrios (library for the community and schools), Wheels for Persons with Disabilities, Share Your Extras, and Livelihood Skills Training Project.
He is also a value education teacher. He addresses the diversity in the classroom and helps dropout students to overcome their difficulties in lives. He helps youths appreciate and preserve their cultural heritage through cultural performance. His way of helping his students is to get to know their family and social background. He learns about his students’ needs before helping them. He advocates technical education of the livelihood and life skills for his students.
He partners with local organizations, universities to provide assistance in funding and resources. He works beyond the boundary of his job and creates several innovative programmes for his schools and communities.
Mr. Otiguey is a simple man with a mission to serve and make a difference for his students and his community.
