Mr. Aung is a senior Assistant Teacher at No.8 Basic Education High School, Lashio. His school is located in the Northern Shan State, an ethnically diverse area of the country. He believes that students shall have the first priority to learn happily, continuously and safely in times of crisis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he ensures that his students wear masks, wash their hands, check their body temperatures, and follow the guidelines from the Ministry of Health.

In line with his teaching philosophy, his lessons include different learning activities to help his students develop their 21st century skills. Learning English is challenging for his students, therefore, he adopts various teaching styles and methods to ensure that his students learn English effectively and efficiently.

Mr. Aung also teaches co-curricular activities including Myanmar traditional dance, cooking, planting and gardening. He is a leader of the school’s agricultural programme. He guides his students to participate in the agricultural activities aiming to develop their life skills.
