Daw Aye Su Win was born in the Ayeyarwady Region in 1985. After receiving her Bachelor degree in English from Pathein University, she began her teaching career as a junior teacher teaching computer and multimedia at No. 2, Basic Education High School, Hlaing Tharyar in 2008.
Her journey in teaching began because she wanted to help students who were weak in English. She is passionate about teaching and learning languages. During her full-time work at No. 2, Basic Education High School, Hlaing Tharyar, she continued her professional development at Yangon University with a Postgraduate Diploma in Multimedia Arts (Education), a Diploma in Global English, a Diploma in English Language Teaching Methodology, and a Bachelor degree in English.
With the knowledge and experience gained over the years, Daw Aye Su Win is now a senior teacher. She teaches English and serves as a school librarian. She enjoys implementing school libraries, school health, and school agriculture projects with her students. Her goal is to create an excellent learning environment for her students. She decorates the library with colorful wall paintings to attract students to the library. She develops school activities to help students read. She uses books in the library to inspire her students to learn and practice their English skills. She says that bringing students to the library gives them inspiration to learn. She uses the time spent in the library to motivate her students to learn and practice English using cartoons and storybooks. She helps her students improve their English speaking skills, listening skills via YouTube videos, and writing skills by helping them develop ideas and put them into words.
She also teaches the students to grow seasonal vegetables and fruits so that they can eat healthy food with good nutrition. Moreover, she implements school health activities such as measuring weight and height to check for students’ health, providing antiparasitic medicine and iron supplements, and teaching her students about personal hygiene.
In 2017, she tutored her students for the ASEAN Cyber Kids Camp, and her students received the 3rd prize award for using the scratch program.
Apart from her work, she also teaches online English lessons after school hours and on weekends. She donates her money from online teaching to buy books for poor students.
