Ts. Mohd Rosnizam bin Mohd Yusoff

Empowering Competence, Think Without the Box”

School Address: Kolej Vokasional (Pertanian) Teluk Intan, Jalan Changkat Jong, 3600 Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia

Ts Mohd Rosnizam bin Mohd Yusoff is a technical vocational teacher in food processing at Kolej Vokasional (Pertanian) Teluk Intan. For over two decades, he has been actively involved in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), focusing on agriculture and food science. He is recognised by the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) as a Professional Technologist (Ts.) in the field of food technology. He also serves as the Head of the Bioprocess Department at his school.

His journey to become a teacher began with a deep passion for sharing knowledge and empowering others to achieve their potential. Growing up in a community where skills and education transformed lives, he realised the profound impact a teacher can have in shaping futures. He believes in the philosophy of ‘Think Without the Box’ – encouraging students to redefine boundaries, innovate, and pursue excellence beyond conventional limits. His commitment extends to innovation and invention activities, resulting in the development of various patented and recognised agricultural and educational products.

He seeks to nurture not only knowledge, but also the spirit of his students – helping them to grow as thinkers, creators, and innovators. Guided by the T.A.R.S. model – Think (to question beyond the box and find the root of problems), Action (to begin doing and working together), Research (to analyse with curiosity and evidence), and Solve (to find practical solutions and manage projects with clarity) – his students learn not only to succeed in their studies, but also to believe in themselves. His vision is for them to one day become entrepreneurs in food and agricultural innovation, with no boundaries to their imagination.

He has received the Distinguished Service Medal from His Majesty the King (YDPA), the National TVET Icon 2024 Award, the Prolific Writer Award 2024, the Adiguru KV Malaysia Award 2022, and the Platinum Icon Mentor Award from the Malaysian Research and Innovation Society in both 2021 and 2019. Additionally, he was honoured as the Eco-Friendly Scientist 2021 by the Asia Pacific Environmental Consideration Society and received the Best Agricultural Grand Award 2019 from the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) at EUROINVENT Romania.

He holds a bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Process and Food Engineering from Putra University, Malaysia.
