The Foreign Affairs Committee under the Princess Maha Chakri Award Foundation organized the 1st meeting of 2021 to discuss the organization of the PMCA Ceremony in 2021. The meeting was chaired by Dr Tej Bunnag with Committee members, including Mr Thani Thongpakdi, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The main agenda was the selection and nomination process of the 4th PMCA recipients and the preparation of the 4th PMCA Ceremony which will be held on 29 October 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on international travels, the Committee decided to host the Ceremony concurrently, both in-person in Bangkok and online at ten Royal Thai Embassies in Southeast Asian Countries. In this regard, the Foundation will coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand for their support, alongside the Royal Thai Embassies to host the event. The Foundation will also request each Embassy, Ministry of Education, Thai private sector and the local media in its respective country to visit the PMCA recipient at his/her school and film his/her activities there or in his/her communities.
